Ohio State Marching Band's Amazing Formations Salute Hollywood

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's … the Ohio State Marching Band!

Just a week after moonwalking into everyone's hearts – and social media – with its celebration of the 25th anniversary release of Michael Jackson's album Bad, the Ohio State Marching Band has done it again, this time during Saturday's halftime show of the Ohio State-Penn State football game.

The new theme was Hollywood Blockbusters, and, in the midst of the main title to this year's Man of Steel, band members split into two groups, one of which formed a leaning building while the other created the figure of Superman, complete with cape, flying across the field to right the falling structure.

The band also paid tribute to Jurassic Park by forming not only the iconic T-Rex from the 1993 movie but also having it lumber down the field, its ferocious jaw chomping.
The Ohio State Marching Band, often called the "Best Damn Band in the Land," is one of the few all-brass and percussion bands in the country, and has a storied tradition.

Fitting, as this weekend, their stories also included the Harry Potter movies – with the young wizard playing quidditch – and the buccaneers from Pirates of the Caribbean.
