The Gemma Furniture Collection presented by the Designer and creative director Patrizia Moroso in the New York showroom on the 5th of February, looks like an architecture miniature. The collection includes a sofa, a chair and an angular seating system. Whereas the sofa and the armchair are conceived for being arranged both in a residential and public space, the red seating system is mainly thought for public spaces. The shape of the products was clearly inspired by the shape of crystals. Such a marvellous and unique series was realized thanks to the architect’s genius and the mastery of Moroso’s artisans. Each side of the Gemma armchair, for instance, which was the first piece of the collection and was presented in a blue colour for the first time during the 2015 Furniture Fair in Milan, has a different shape. Practically talking, the furniture is made of steel frames and leather or knitted fabric in grayscale and ombré upholstery.

The line design impresses for its clean shapes that distance themselves from the traditional shapes of furniture. The pieces resemble small architecture models even sculptures, elegant and precious. Even this time, Daniel Libeskind has hit the target of creating unforgettable figures.
